Arrived in Monaco at lunchtime and headed straight into the show to get press releases into the press office. The place was a hive of activity with crates and packing cases everywhere as exhibitors laboured to get everything ready before the show opened with less than 24 hours to go. The security arrangements were a tad erratic as usual, with some of the entrances manned by blokes with intimidating badges, and the rest open to the four winds and those who hadn’t picked up their passes just yet. Still, it looks like it’s going to be bigger and slicker than ever once everything is nailed into place, but we didn’t get a chance to walk the docks to select our favourite boat of the show – that will have to wait until tomorrow.
